THE SUPPLEMENTARY LIST
The supplementary list was released by UPSC a few months ago. The description of the list was in a pdf file, in comic sans font, mocking the entire idea of success. Anyway, the names were in Times new roman and I sucked unto it when I saw my name topping the list.
So, based on the helpful hints from my fellow supplementary candidates, I came to know that I will land up with a service that's called Indian Trade Service, ITS. I am awaiting the service allocation by DoPT.
Have been wondering how this would sound. K.V.Tirumala, ITS.
A private joke between me and my Punjabi biwi is that T stands for Tatta. Hope it doesn't let me down once I join and stink like that word.
Anyway, my job in private sector is going well. Airbus is an excellent organization to work for when it comes to challenges at work and balance between work and life. Tough things to provide to an employee, especially for the ones like me, and I found Airbus a good place to be.
Someone in Sansad bhavan, upper house, asked the PM when would these supplementary people get their jobs that's due to them for years. The answer was, we are following due procedure and in due time it will be done.
And so I wait, in the meantime, for the due clerks of various departments to take due action and roll the due procedure so that some dues to me in life are set right. Will keep you posted.

thiru....this is a blog which lived once...had a life of its own...don't kill this....keep writing man....and one free advice from a person who also tried for the same exam four times...cd'nt get thru intrvw...."don't join ITS man.....",...u sloggged for IAS ....ITS wont keep u happy..am sure Boeing is a much better job than ITS....now I know u were right whn u said......"no one died of writing this exam....bt many exams died since then.....nw Im out of that mirage called civils and am happy being a journalist ....

i am also an IITian and to be precise IITB chem, i have been preparing for almost 3 yrs now and vll gv xm in 2015 but really m infi senti for u and completed 50 post of urs in just 2 hrs. for the 1st time in my prep days i have felt the pain of a struggler. I have always kept myslef in high esteem as i prepaer for the exam for which not many dare to think of. for the 1st time i am feeling a bit low but all i cn convince my heart is that may be god wants me to feel the other side before giving me the goal i want. i have a strong desire to meet you atleast once in my life. and ya u made a mistake of which u hated once :D

its been very nice to see your blog,i caught you blog in Mrunal blog who is a ram dev baba of civil services for his strategies & guidance of course for me too...2013 results were out and this is my third attempt couldnt clear it...they came on 2-aug-13,since mind is totally blank....like what u said in your earlier blogs..now 1st timers will give me a look u experienced...my husband(got married recently on may-12) asking me to go to delhi..one of frn recently shifted to delhi from hyd...but i want to study frm hyd only...dont knw its of totally blank..by the way ..coincidence is im also an engineer..civil engineer..worked in the construction company for 4.5 years..i take pride being a woman i have worked in construction site..im being whole project incharge for designs for a 700 crore project...im doing very well at job..company too have supported me a lot since two years..for my civils preparation...but after second attempt...urge to become IAS dominated me alot...and my husband wanted me to leave job n study....thats how i left job in sept-2012..started studying....from then to know...lot of things happend..my engagement,marriage(may-12).3rd attempt..on may 26th.....hmmmmmmm now the results came three days before......for which...i struggled like never before...but i knew...i should have bit more...so..finally not in the list of qualified for prelims...not feeling like to start enthusiasm like i was at last year..saying next time vl do it..but that time came...im neither happy nr sad...but totally blank...accindentally saw ur blog..since afternoon im reading ur blog and just compltd..so want to post commnt on your 51st post..thank u so much for sharing ..in fact i see myself in many post of this...so thinking lot..dont knw what im thinking..but feeling like to recharge..read some books..and again start prep for next..n 4th n final attempt....after seeing your blog...i want to become...owner wanted to write on this..but doesnt qualify for conditions..as neither stayed nor staying...so its upon u to decide...once again thank u for writing..it made me think once again...before i start....thank you...
